Message to All

Dear Member,
Firstly an update on Paul.  He remains in the N&N awaiting transfer to Papworth Hospital for a triple bypass.  A long wait for the operation and it will require a long period of recovery.  I am sure you all join me in wishing him well.  He sends his thanks for all the messages he has recieved.   Best wishes also to Jenny who has been poorly.
The sealed bid auction for the electric bicycle mentioned in the last minutes is now open – details below:

Cyclotricity Step Through electric bike.

Motor (probably 250w) located in front wheel hub, complete with battery with integral back light, battery lock with 2 keys, charger, rear rack, panniers, manual & spare speed control unit.
This bike presents in very good condition, in its gloss black livery & has been ridden by Andy Moore to confirm the pedal assist is operational. Battery charges fully & retains a charge without use.

Being offered to Shed members in a sealed bid auction, minimum bid £170. The Shed will receive 50% of the selling price as a donation from the owner who will receive the other 50%

Place bids in the box on the treasurers desk. If you are unable to visit the shed in person and wish to bid, send an email to secretary@brms.org.uk with the amount and I will print it and post it in the box for you.  I can confirm I shall not be bidding myself!
Following a missing key incident Broom Boats now have their own key to the shed, which they need to access to turn power on and off  for next door.  They have no need to use the key safe and as a security measure the code will be changed in the near future and duty managers advised of the new number – please keep this to yourself.
The tap in and out system is working well but please try to remember to tap out as well as in!  If you forget your card please use one of the visitor badges.  A great effort by Ian L.
Thanks to those who helped with operation pergola – a successful demolition for Blofield Parish Council – keep an eye on the webpages for photos of this and other activities.   The First Aid session being run by the British Red Cross is at 1:45 on Tuesday 25th August and finishes at 3:15 – please add it to your diary.
Finally a message from Terry A, our social secretary with a few more dates for your diary:
