Bird boxes for Broadland Council

The shed was contacted by Broadland Council to make some bird boxes.

The boxes are going to be placed at various sites throughout the Broadland District Council estate. The areas have been selected are part of the Councils Biodiversity plan.  The bird and bat boxes will be put in numerous trees depending on the size of site, each box will achieve extra points towards the biodiversity score of the site.  The differing styles of bird box will also encourage different species to nest, dependant on what they prefer for example Robins and Flycatchers will prefer the open fronted design and Blue and Great Tits will prefer the small hole design.

Thanks From Broadland District council to all those at Brundall Men’s shed who put their time in to make them
