Firstly, we wish Paul well for a speedy recovery from surgery and look forward to having Jenny back at Shed following her recovery from peritonitis.
The future of our Shed
You will be aware that our Shed is subject to a short term lease which could be terminated with little notice. The Trustees see this as a significant risk to our future and are investigating the way forward. Like any good organisation, the starting point is to understand its customers’ (all Members) experiences and aspirations. So, to support and inform the way forward, we are kicking-off a Members Survey. This is the first opportunity for you to have your say since the early days of our Shed. Please, take a few moments to complete the survey as your views are invaluable, This is important!
The survey is broken down into 2 manageable sections which you can complete at your leisure. Part 1 focuses on YOUR MEMBERSHIP AND ATTENDANCE, part 2 on WHAT YOU DO AT SHED.

Paper copies are available at Shed and you may complete the forms anonymously if you prefer.
We will publish the results anonymously in early September.
Who’s in?
Did you know that the tap-in, tap-out attendance system is used to generate an evacuation list for Duty Managers? It’s a live list of who is in the Shed. Well, the list is now available to all Members. Microsoft Office 365
If you are at Shed want to use MS Office 365 apps like Excel, Word, Outlook etc, the computer in the middle of the desk now has MS 365 available. There are simple instructions on a ‘post-it on the desktop to enable you access it. If you want some help or guidance, speak to Ian L or Ian C.
Safeguarding
Our Shed has a policy for Safeguarding which you can find on the website. Recently two of our many Ians (Ian L and Ian D) attended a safeguarding course to understand the practical implementations of how to respond well to safeguarding needs should they arise. If you want to know more or to raise an issue, please speak to one of the Ians in confidence.
